Chilean Wine
Spaniards brought vineyards to the new world with them into Chile in the 16 th century, and ever since, Chile has produced the best wine that comes out of South America . This country makes wine for their population as well as for export. The local wine is made from the Pais grape, and does not have a remarkable taste at all, but when it comes to exported wines, they do excellent work. This country tends to imitate the French style of making wine, and does well with Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Merlot, and Sauvignon Blanc.
